Where to look for a job as a copywriter?

The next most common question after copywriter earnings is where to look for specific jobs. Here’s my list of the best places for copywriters to look.

Where to look for a job as a copywriter?

Facebook groups
The groups I’ve tried include: Copywriters, Orders for graphic designers, copywriters, translators and other freelancers, and Copywriter wanted – orders for copy . The orders that appear in the above groups are various – from PLN 1 for 1000 zzs (characters with spaces), to much higher amounts. A lot depends on luck and your portfolio.

Offering

The case with Oferia is very complicated

Some love it, others hate it. I have personally met many very valuable clients on Oferia, cooperation with whom is still chinese overseas australia database flourishing today. The problem with Oferia, however, is that it is full of the infamous, already mentioned orders such as 1 PLN for 1000 zzs (and I have seen even lower rates), so many people consider it a kind of freelance hell – in short, the so-called “hit or miss”, meaning either you succeed or you don’t.

Own website

If you’re reading this, you can see for yourself that I personally try to follow this path. Your own website is not only a way to get higher rates (if you manage to position it high), but also a perfect business card, thanks to which you will avoid embarrassing and often arduous price negotiations. It looks much more leverage for long-term customer retention professional to paste a link to your own, beautiful and modern website than to list your past works, experience, rates… and so on. So I wholeheartedly encourage you – a website is something that every self-respecting copywriter should have.

Forums like OLX, Gumtree, etc

An alternative approach to finding a job as a copywriter is to post your own ads on thematic internet forums. Especially if we use the premium option, such an advert catches the eye and attracts customers. Importantly, both calling list when posting such an internet advert and in the case of a dedicated copywriting website, the roles are reversed – the client comes to you, not you to the client. This means that any contact from a potential client gives you a chance to quickly close the order.

That’s all for my ideas on how to get jobs as a copywriter. As an English-speaking copywriter, I also use foreign services – but the principle is the same. Good luck to you, copics, and as always – share your ideas with me in the comments.
