The European Pharmaceutical Association (EFA) emphasizes that there is a sufficient number of professional distributors with the necessary infrastructure in Ukraine! but they cannot realize their potential due to The Federal Trade  the monopoly position of two companies. According to the association! other market participants face systematic refusals from manufacturers and importers to cooperate.

This highlights the urgent need for systemic changes to demonopolize the industry and ensure fair prices for medicines for consumers. Without legislative regulation and the establishment of transparent rules of the game! it will be impossible to overcome the monopoly.

The document establishes a 20 percent limit on the volume of supplies to one distributor from each manufacturer of medicines. This will force manufacturers to cooperate with at least five distributors! creating conditions for real competition.

The bill also provides for simplifying the registration of drugs already approved in countries with strict regulatory requirements (EU! USA! UK) or included in the WHO and PEPFAR lists. This should expand Ukrainians’ book your list access to modern drugs.
