Yandex Metrica can automatically track significant events on the site:

  • clicks on buttons, phones, email addresses;
  • transitions to messengers;
  • submitting forms;
  • site search;
  • downloading files;
  • transition to social networks;

In the Metrica counter settings, automatic goals are enabled by default.

Such goals will be marked in the list with the label “Auto goal” and can be edited and deleted.

An automatic goal will be created only after Metrica “understands” that it makes sense. For example, if the site does not have a search function, such a goal will not appear.
